This is a spectacular smaller accent tree that features blazing hot red samaras in late summer and fiery fall colors. It is more tolerant of drought and alkaline conditions. The leaves will begin to turn from a green color into outstanding shades of yellow, orange, and red in the fall. It was discovered as a chance seedling at Fort Collins Wholesale Nursery at Fort Collins, CO in 1993 and is a Plant Select® tree.
