The Blue Rug Juniper is one of the finest trailing junipers. It is known for having a uniform, full centered growth habit with intense silver-blue evergreen foliage. It is excellent for large scale ground covers or cascading over walls. It is lovely when planted around boulders or in rock gardens, where its twisted branches can be trained to unique forms. It thrives in rocky, thin mountain soils or the sandy gravel of inland deserts.
