Smooth Sumac is extremely flamboyant in autumn it is an open, spreading, deciduous shrub with nice ornamental features. The foliage features shiny, deeply dissected, fern like, deep green leaves and warms up to brilliant shades of red and orange in fall. Cone shaped panicles of green-yellow flowers bloom in late spring and summer. It is attractive to wildlife and native to the United States and parts of Canada.
