Hansa rose is an incredibly hardy and vigorous upright suckering shrub that boasts a profusion of remarkably fragrant, double, large 4 in. across, rich pinkish-purple flowers with roughly 17-25 petals from early summer up to the first frost. They are later followed by edible fruits that are as stunning as the flowers themselves. The fruits resemble cherry tomatoes, which provide a beautiful contrast against the foliage of dark green leaves. This easy to care shrub rose is wonderful when used as a specimen, flowering hedge or in a mixed border.
