Little Bluestem is a stunning ornamental native grass known for its blue-green leaf color and upright form. The foliage provides a vibrant color all season long which serves as a perfect backdrop for prairie flowers. It is densely mounded and can reach up to 3 feet by autumn. During Autumn it turns a striking reddish-bronze, bearing illuminated tufted seeds. It can withstand snow and rain due to the rigid clumps which also allow the reddish grass stems to remain upright for most of the winter.
