Sesleria autumnalis is a clumping, cool season grass that starts the season quietly. During midsummer, it begins to change unexpectedly. Silvery white inflorescences begin to emerge and hover above the foliage. When planted in masses it appears lush and beautiful. It is reasonably drought tolerant and it is not complicated to maintain.
