Symphoricarpos x chenaultii ‘Hancock’ is noted for its excellent ability to cover ground and smoother weeds. Commonly known as ‘Snowberry’ it is a low spreading, deciduous shrub with arching, rooting branches that is amazingly undemanding and adaptable. In late summer small pink flowers begin to bloom at the tips of the branches. The flowers are then followed by abundant and attractive clusters of white fruits speckled with rosy red that persist well into winter. The flowers attract butterflies and pollinators, while the berries attract birds and small mammals.
