Nanum is commonly known as a dwarf cranberry brush. This dwarf deciduous shrub is grown for its dense mounding habit and small size. The many branches are covered with small glossy trim-loved leaves that reveal a red-tinge when they emerge. It serves as a handsome hedge or filler plant with outstanding red fall foliage. During summer it occasionally produces showy white flower clusters.
