This evergreen shrub is chosen by the Chicago Botanic Garden for outstanding cold hardiness. It is an extremely resilient boxwood and holds its glossy green foliage well in winter. It resembles an English boxwood in appearance and has a uniform oval habit making it a great low hedge. This shrub like others can be sculpted or informal. It is an excellent background for perennials or foundation plant.
